under 12s win nwcfa cup final

This season's Anglesey Junior League Champions added another trophy to the cabinet this morning when they collected the North Wales Coast Cup to the growing collection.

The final, played out at Gaerwenn FC, was an all Anglesey Junior League affair where they faced fellow Islanders Amlwch Town.

Amlwch started the match much the better team, but Hotspur gradually settled as the game went on. A sustained period of pressure in the second half saw a free kick driven into the box before being controlled and drilled in from short range by Gethin Owen. Amlwch pushed for an equaliser, but Hotspur held firm to see out the match.

Gethin Owen scored the only goal of the match.

Finn Cusick was presented with Man of the Match for his tireless work down the right wing.

Proud Hotspur coaches Martin Jones, Andy Devlin and Jamie Doutch.
